Since its establishment in January 1997, E.M. Tech has been committed to providing high quality service to our clients in the Virginia, Maryland, and greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area. This high quality of service combined with our expertise, knowledge, and familiarity with all phases of design and construction has led E.M. Tech to become one of the area’s most respected full-service engineering and consulting firms.

Our fully equipped in-house laboratory, which performs tests using the ASTM, VTM, and AASHTO methods, supports our engineering and consulting services. Our laboratory has been inspected and/or accredited by the following agencies; Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL), Washington Area Council of Engineering Laboratories (WACEL) and AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL).

E.M. Tech regularly participates as a team member on large scale projects, such as Design-Build (DB) and Public-Private Transportation Act (PPTA) roadway projects, and pavement construction/rehabilitation (runways, taxiways and roadways) or facility structures at Ronald Reagan National (DCA) and Washington Dulles International (IAD) airports. These projects, due to their size and critical nature, require communication with diverse entities and also require E.M. Tech to define, execute, and deliver effective and time-critical support services to other members of the project teams.
